Innes returns to pumpkin for the first time since his award-winning 2019 work, Spotted Lanternfly. His latest work marks a shift away from the elaborate mixed-media constructions of his earlier period while paying homage to his first publicly released pumpkin (Autumn, 2017).

Since 2017, Innes has produced a small but influential body of seasonal work exploring nature, popular culture, and contemporary life. His 2019 work Spotted Lanternfly received First Prize, marking the culmination of his early period.

After a seven-year hiatus, Innes returned to the medium in 2026 with Clautumn.
